Demand Response Boosts ISO Certification
Participation in EnergyConnect, Inc’s demand response programs can help meet ISO 14000 standards for environmental stewardship. The International Organization of Standardization, or ISO, administers a set of technical standards for various industries. The standards can provide long-term economic benefits to those that implement them.
There is general recognition of ISO 9000 standards set for manufacturing quality. Catching on, are the ISO 14000 standards for the environment. Specifically, the ISO 14001 standards deal with environmental management systems, including energy management. The 14001 standards help companies manage the impact of their business activities on the environment.
