Enroll by May 18 for the New EnergyConnect Reliability Plan
With summer’s warm weather just around the corner, EnergyConnect is introducing the Reliability Plan for Metro Chicago and Mid-Atlantic markets. Under the Plan, we will pay facilities to reduce load on short notice during grid emergencies. Enrollment for this summer is limited to EnergyConnect participants who sign up by May 18th.
EnergyConnect will pay you as much as $50,000 per megawatt of load reduction depending on the location of your facility or building. .

To participate in this new Reliability Plan, your facility must be able to:

  • Reduce or maintain your load below an agreed upon usage level when called
  • Maintain reduced usage for up to 6 hours per event between the hours of 12 noon and 8 PM Eastern
  • Respond up to 10 times during the period from June to September

EnergyConnect Turns Demand Response Revenue into Energy Management System Upgrades
EnergyConnect recently announced a new System Upgrade Allowance Plan that advances funds to install Advanced Metering and Building Automation System (BAS) enhancements for qualified Demand Response customers.
