Kevin R. Evans

Kevin R. Evans recently joined EnergyConnect with over two decades of proven financial and operational leadership in various industries. Prior to EnergyConnect, Mr. Evans served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). During his five years at EPRI he also held positions overseeing sales, marketing and customer service. Prior to EPRI, he was instrumental as Chief Financial Officer for PlaceWare, Inc. where he successfully negotiated the sale of the business to Microsoft. Mr. Evans has an extensive background including: transportation, banking, manufacturing, distribution services, communications and technology. In those fields, he held officer level finance and operating positions in businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Evans holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from Sonoma State University and a master’s in Business Administration from San Diego State University. |
Joseph A. Bugica

Joe Bugica oversees the wide variety of demand response services offered by EnergyConnect bringing over 20 years of expert energy industry knowledge and commercial experience. Mr. Bugica was recognized as one of GE Energy’s top commercial leaders for developing innovative strategies, achieving double-digit growth and brings this big-picture thinking to EnergyConnect’s technology and solutions. He served as vice president and company officer at Electric Power Research Institute, implemented GE’s Ecomagination and lead sales and business development activities at both GE and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Mr. Bugica graduated from Cornell University in Mechanical Engineering and received an MBA from University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.

Jay Crookston

Jay Crookston brings over 25 years of expertise creating and implementing proven sales management processes and practices to drive sustainable and scalable growth to EnergyConnect. Mr. Crookston built an MCI sales organization from a $25 million acquisition to $540 million in sales. In 2002, while Mr. Crookston was Vice President of Sales at PlaceWare, the company was sold to Microsoft in 2003. Mr. Crookston’s entrepreneurial spirit, strong sales legacy, and cross-functional, diverse team leadership skills are complemented by an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and an undergraduate degree in General Management from Purdue University. |
Bill Munger

Bill Munger joined EnergyConnect in 2006 as the Vice President of Human Resources. He has over twenty years of corporate Human Resources experience in a variety of industries, including energy, high tech and environmental sectors. He was leading the HR group for a worldwide Sales and Marketing Group at Intel Corp. just prior to joining EnergyConnect. Mr. Munger holds a Bachelor of Business from Western Illinois University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University. |
Rich Quattrini
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development |
Rich Quattrini is focused on marketing initiatives, building strategic partnership alliances, and oversees a team dedicated to expanding EnergyConnect’s offerings in emerging markets. Mr. Quattrini came to EnergyConnect with over 20 years experience in sales and marketing in the semiconductor equipment industry. Prior to EnergyConnect, Mr. Quattrini was at KLA-Tencor where he managed a sales team dedicated to serving their largest corporate account. Prior to that, he led marketing efforts for KLA-Tencor’s critical dimension (CD) metrology division where he was instrumental in driving growth of CD metrology products into new geographies and market segments. Mr. Quattrini earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. |
Randy Reed

Randy Reed joined us in September 2005 when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer. He was also appointed Corporate Secretary in August 2006. Mr. Reed provided financial, accounting and SEC consulting from September 2002 through September 2005 with his consulting firm Reed Financial Services, which he operated from January 2001 through September 2005. From July 1999 to January 2001, Mr. Reed was Chief Financial Officer for Dry, Inc. a consumer products company. Mr. Reed was Chief Financial Officer and Controller of Microfield Graphics, Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer of technology products from August 1985 to July 1999 having taken them public in 1995. Prior to his position at Microfield he was with Coopers & Lybrand, an international public accounting firm, from 1981 to 1985. Mr. Reed is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University.

John Stremel
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President |
John Stremel oversees the design and implementation of software and hardware services for EnergyConnect. Mr. Stremel’s responsibilities cover a range of functions, including software design, systems implementation, curtailment scheduling, bidding, baseline load calculations, price monitoring, notifications, and settlement processes. He also serves as the agent on behalf of customers if they desire to implement pre-arranged strategies through EnergyConnect in the demand response markets. Mr. Stremel has been a trusted steward to customers for EnergyConnect, and continues to assist customers in implementing winning strategies in the increasingly important demand response markets. Previously, John led the software development for a major privately-owned power exchange that served several of the most active trading markets in the U.S and Europe. Mr. Stremel holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Economics and Statistics and a master’s degree from the Carnegie Mellon University Graduate School of Industrial Administration. |
